Levodopa+Carbidopa

Description
Synamet is a combination of Levodopa & Carbidopa indicated for the treatment of Parkinson's disease & syndrome. Symptoms of Parkinson's disease are related to depletion of dopamine in corpus striatum. Levodopa, the metabolic precursor of dopamine, is converted to dopamine in the brain. This is the mechanism whereby levodopa relieves symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Carbidopa inhibits decarboxylation of peripheral levodopa thereby makes more levodopa available for transportation to the brain.

Indication
Synamet is indicated in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, post-encephalitic parkinsonism, and symptomatic parkinsonism that may follow carbon monoxide intoxication or manganese intoxication.

Supply
Synamet tablet 100/10: Each box contains 3x10's tablets in ALU-ALU blister pack.
Synamet tablet 100/25: Each box contains 3x10's tablets in ALU-ALU blister pack.
Synamet tablet 250/25: Each box contains 3x10's tablets in ALU-ALU blister pack.
