Esomeprazole

Description:
Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of the H+/K+-ATPase, the ‘Proton Pump’ of the gastric parietal cell.

Indication
Esomeprazole is indicated
1. To relieve from chronic heartburn symptoms and other symptoms associated with GERD

2. For the healing of erosive esophagitis

3.For maintenance of healing of erosive esophagitis

4. In combination with amoxicillin and clarithromycin for eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection in-patients with duodenal ulcer disease.

5.Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome

6.Acid related Dyspepsia

7.Duodenal & Gastric ulcer
